Next year the Royal Academy celebrates its 250th anniversary and to make sure the buzz of this special occasion truly spills into the neighbourhood, the RA and the Bond Street Association have come together to create a unique windows project, ‘250 Years of Art.’

Through specially themed window displays, retailers in and around Bond Street will be invited to create a spectacular visual celebration of art, turning Bond Street into a living art exhibition. Images from the RA’s collection will be supplied and the themes will be broad to enable participants to engage in a way that best suits their brand, e.g. contemporary, historic, etc. Director of Hudson Walker International, Pauline Hudson-Evans is also Deputy Chair of the Bond Street Association and she sees this initiative as a superb example of the power of collaboration between retail and art.

The project will run from 22 June to 8 July 2018, and will coincide with the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy and also Mayfair Art Weekend (30 June – 1 July), which sees events, walks, talks and showcases across 60 galleries in Mayfair.
